    My SV rebuild

I have totally striped down the hull and started to sand in preparation for a small repair and most importantly to get rid of the red. When I started to sand the bottom I noticed a couple of pin holes, and I do not even know where to start to fix. Can some one point me in the right direction... Thanks

I used Z-poxy to repair a large hole in mine and it worked fine so I am sure it will work fine for the small holes as well. I hit the fountain in the middle of my lake and crushed the front of the boat.

I mixed up some zpoxy and just poured it into the boat and hung it up so the epoxy would get into the holes. I taped it up from the out side to prevent a mess on the out side and it worked pretty good. After it dried a day I repeated it twice to make sure all the holes were plugged.

Next I sanded the out side and painted!

      Sounds easy.

I will update with my progression, and I am sure I will have allot more questions as I go.

      Thanks

I want to do the same. Once cured how hard is zpoxy to sand?

I finally got a chance to get back to the boat today. I brushed in some Z poxy finishing resin into the holes, and it seems to have done the trick. Now I am starting to get ready to cut the CF pieces, but more ?????? Are you supposed to put a strip of glue where you want to cut? I cut one smaller piece out, and the cf is fraying apart.

I have tried the search function on how the lay CF but I have been unsuccessful

It's good to do that and then use some 3M #77 adhesive to hold it in the hull then remove tape and add resin.

i had to repair my sv and i used zpoxy for some repairs and i found it not very friendly to sanding.... i used Bondo-short strand, then light Bondo to finish it off and it was very user friendly!! and much easier to work with!!

The 3M #77 Is a lite tack just to hold in place makes it alot less messy its the resin that does all the work
