    supervee on 8s lipo!

I just got the ammo 2300 motor for my supervee, using the stock esc, dual water pickups(one for the esc, one for the motor). Ran it with the grim 3-blade 40-52 prop. Got 40.7mph on gps with my turnigy 4000mah 2s packs. I thought I would try it in parallel with my turnigy 3600mah 4s packs. But I hastily hooked it up and threw it in the water, went about 50 feet and POP!!! Blew the esc. OOPS! I forgot to use my parallel adaptor! Was actually running it in 8s comfiguration. I just purchased a seaking 60 amp watercooled brushless esc for 50-bucks on e-bay. Anyone have any experience with these???

I think you were a little over on your rpm range (68,000). I have 2 35a in mini hydros and also have a friend that runs one and they are great no problems .On your next purchase though check this site out if you make an account and your are sighned in the prices on some of it are cheaper.http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...&ParentCat=254

just installed my new seaking 60a esc to replace the stock one I fried. Still cant get rid of that burnt smell!! Ran it with an octura x642 yesterday. Hit 46mph on gps before flipping it. Retreived the boat with no damage. Any ideas on how to stabilize this thing a little better so it doesnt take flight??

We had a club member do the same thing with his UL-1 - it sure was a rocket for a few seconds! He used denatured alcohol - liberally - and cleaned it up almost as new. Here is what it looked like right after the "accident".
