I meant get a BJ motor A3630 1500 KV, SV-27's seem to throw magnets, end cap get loose, etc.

If you don't want suggestions, probably shouldn't ask

Sorry mate thought you were 1 of those guys who reckons theirs is better or bigger if you know what i mean. So I take if this is not a fixable problem then, I dont know bugger all about brushless motors cause only had nitro and gas before this vee. If I have to get a new motor whats the fastest the standard speedy can push?

While I haven't done it with an SV motor, you should be able to remove the endcaps and replace the bearings. How? As long as the end caps are just pressed or glued in place: remove the coupler, grab the sides of the motor body firmly and smack the drive shaft down hard on a piece of wood (not metal, etc). This will pop off the endcap and you can press out the old bearings and install new ones. You will have to replace the bearings if you do this as it will permanently damage the old bearings. I don't know the replacement size required. Glue the end cap in place with CA.

That said, the BJ motor is higher quality than the SV motor and has a similar Kv. I wouldn't expect more speed, but I would expect it to last longer. The latter doesn't seem to be your problem though....

They are roughly 1500kV motor. You can replace the bearings. The end bells are pinned, be sure to push the pin out before knocking the end bell out.

Yep what he said. Bearings are 11x5x5 same as feigao which are sold here at OSE.

If it were me, I would simply replace the motor with either a new SV or better yet the UL-1 motor. I blew the end bells off two SV motors and replaced them with the UL-1 motor and ESC. More performance and an easy change out.

If your motor is as bad as you say it is you have to wonder if any other damage has been done. I know when I opened mine up there was visible wear showing on the internal parts. I am not sure that simply replacing the bearings would have restored the motors.

The BJ motor is the best one out there for the price, plus you get a customized water cooler already in place. But the cheapest route would be to replace the bearings.

well what about the Ammo 36-50-2300kV Brushless motor?? wouldnt it produce higher speeds over the bj motor ? i was thinking about switching to the ammo motor to try to get faster speeds?

The Ammo will have a higher rpm, but that doesn't always mean significantly higher speeds. Some have had luck with it in the SV. You'll have to use a smaller prop spinning faster, and run time may be shorter. Higher speeds mean less stability in rougher water = more trips in the recovery boat. No free lunch.
