    motor getting really hot

Is the motor suppose to be very hot after runs. If its very hot, is there anything wrong.

it seems that I am losing power midway during my runs, is this because the engine is so hot

We need to know the prop size. On the Grim Racer props it will be stamped on the hub of the prop. If you got a prop that is too big, you will overload the motor/esc with ease..
What size batteries were you using?
The RTR Nightmare- Electric King of Shaves
          Now with 540s- 62mph
New setup- Etti 150A's, Turnigy 2600s, 5S, X442s and a whole lot of cooling hoses

I have tried those batteries in the past and they will not cut it for boat use. They just cant put out the power. Prop should really be balanced and we need to know the size. As far as trim, where do you have trim tabs set at and strut angle? Get 2 new packs af batts and start there.
