Hello I am new here to the site and New to Boats. I just got a SuperVee 27 and have a couple of questions. First off I ordered a turn fin for the port side but ordered the fin for the starboard side. Is this okay or do I need the correct one? Also what material and where do I add it for floatation? Anything else before setting out on it's maiden voyage?

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I have the same turn fin on my SV27. It works ok.
The flotation that most use is pool noodles that they cut to fit.

On the SV27 check and tighten ALL hardware! Great boat my son and I love ours.

So My boat came in today and I took it to the pond. Wow this thing is fun. I have been doing cars for 20+ years and this is my first boat. I ran it today right out of the box. I taped the hatch but still had a little water inside. What are you using to plug the antenna hole?

Tonight I put some "noodle foam" towards the back and some in the front, also added a port side turn fin. Will go back tommorow to run with some friends.

You usually move the aerial to outside the hatch, usually on the rear of the hull and then fill the hole in the hatch. It reduces any water entry while using it and when you flip it substantially.

They are certainly a great little boat and a whole lot of fun.

Well I ran it over the weekend and it's a lot better now. There was a nice gap by the stuffing tube and the transom. I have epoxied and siliconed it all up and it's dry now. I also cleared up all the cooling fittings ( the one on the rudder was tottally pluged with glue or thread lock from the factory ). Mounted the reciever to the cover of the radio box. Got some goodies comming from Kintec Racing.
