How does this actually work, I see from the pictures that there is a new chamber created from the new parts but does it fill with water by a hole on the top of the boat which floods the space?

I am not trying to copy the design but just want to knowhow it works so i can get my mind around it.

yes, it fills from the holes in the top and side, vents from the other holes and creates enough weight on that side to self right. once righted and moving forward the water drains out the back. it is a typical flood chamber.

Self Righting SV

Just built and installed my own fibre glass flood chamber similar to - Chuckee cheese - Installed BL Motor and Lipo's and tape seal hatch and did bathtub test - No luck Sv wouldn't roll over she stopped sort of halfway what can I do.... Build looks so good for not to preform it's purpose

i guarantee you didn't calculate how much weight it takes to make it roll. that is why yours is too small and probablly will never work. sorry to hear about your wasted time and effort. i did all the calculations prior to my first install and nailed it. you need to research this stuff before jumping in.....

Calaculations???? Not Giving up just Yet - 4got to mention that except for the opening which is fixed in place (about 2" Inches) from that point everything else can be slid off and removed (like a sock - up their for thinking) so how much larger do I need to make the bowl of the chamber & does it need to go as far foward as the foam in the bow????

G'day chuck just got a question about the flood chamber did you do heaps of trial to make the chamber as small as needed or is this size maybe abit overkill? cause I dont think i'll get most of my bats in there like in your picture. I run both nimh and lipos so if its possible to make it smaller?

you can make it smaller but i prefer the larger for quicker righting. if you want a larger battery area you just neeed to trim a couple of pieces when instaling it. the other option is to get rid of the radio box..

I want, can you post the instructions for us to see? How are characteristics and COG effected? How much space is provided between chamber and box for the lipos? Would you be willing to shave it down some to reduce size, I understand it will slow it down.

it is set up so you can cut it down if desired.. the lipo's in the picture are about 5/8" thick, the kit is installed using whatever lipo's you have and trimed accordingly
