    upgraded flex coupler

Has anyone had an issue with the screws that hold the upgrade coupler to the shaft on the motor? I can't get mine to grip

Yes, you have to flatten a bit more of the shaft for it to seat. As the location is further up the shaft closer to the motor. Also good time to insert thrust bearings.

If I was doing it again I would consider locating the flattened spot opposite the existing one (further up the shaft) to maintain shaft balance, hasnt made a noticeable difference rhough. Just have to make sure that everything spins balanced

    Food for thought

What is the best approach to flattening the shaft. I don't really feel like damaging the motor

I just used a small dremil bit. You only need a couple of milimeters more flat area. I did make sure that the shaft is still round where the Collet/ coupler fits over at the front and back, thereby maintainging the fitting centered on the shaft.
Best to fit the coupler to the main motor shaft and remove the small screw and mark the shaft with an ink tip or pencil lead. that way you can see where and how much you have to flatten.

        cheers

Still in the market for a new coupler or a better coupler?

Check out the coupler that Kintec Racing has to offer for the SV.
