    Turn fin

I have just got a supervee and have turn fins on both side. Are they supposed to be angled a bit out from the boat hull or point straight down for best turn and stability? I have seen on the pictures of the supervees here on the forum both angled turn fins and straight downpointed.I'm looking for a setup with best stability so what is your thougths?

They need to angle out a bit that way they only engage with the water when the boat turns and not while running straight. If one was to engage the water while racing in a straight line I think that sad things may happen.

They are always touching the water

The reason they are angled is so that when you turn, and the hull rolls into the turn, the fin will then be at a 90 degree angle to the water.
