just make the antenna come up thru the hull, doesnt really matter where, its wherever suits your setup best. sharpening the prop is def a good idea as doby posted a link. also electrical tape is waterproof and cheap, or renfrew hockey tape also, and its clear.

        If I run an antenna,
I like to make it look scale for the boat.
        Like it belongs there,
Some have two antenna wires and one wire go's forward in the hull toward the bow,
The other go's through the deck or hatch.
You can make a hole for it and add a boot over the antenna than seal it in place,
        With ca and silicone.
        As for the boat,
Check over everything in it for loose screws water flow and do water tight test.
Look for leaks in the hull, It may come in at the hardware or up the stuffing tube.
When you ready to run it, Just run it for a minute or two and bring it in and check for water in the hull and also temps on everything.
Also watch the tape because it may pull the paint off the hull.
        ? ONLY IF THEY WORK

Thats a good thought on the tape pealing the paint, I thought maybe I could put a piece of tape down and when I tape the hatch I could tape over the first piece and try to peel the second layer off and just leave the first layer on all the time. I I did let it sit in my tub for an hour obviously it wasn't moving so its not a true leak test but the best I can do now until I get my new esc from Aquacraft as posted it another thread

I've never heard of the tape peeling the paint on these hulls

Be sure to read up on safety when sharpening/balancing beryllium copper props-- the particulate form is extremely dangerous so you need proper respirators and a safe way to deal with the dust (like a hood).

i think i may do it outside or at work i work at a ford dealer and we have vents in the floor for exhaust fumes. is there any good link on how to sharpen and balance them properly for a first timer?

Easy to do but definitely take your time.
