    Tried the 2030Kv

Did not run well with the stock prop, took a while for it to plane, I had a carbon 45mm I think 63ish pitch, and it's the ticket, gets on a plane immediately and I did not notice anymore chine walk than normal, actually I thought it ran much better. It has a nice top end and a lil tuning on the fins so that it does not go diving when I turn, temps where normal. I had a perfect day. A few friends took some video, I'll see if I can get it uploaded to YouTube. I'll post the link if/when it happens.

Cool. I've been planning to put that motor in mine. Just not real happy with the speed of the stock motor.
    Big difference in speed?

I ran the prop with both motors, it's definitely faster due to the prop, I believe it's a bit faster with the UL-1 motor, but I have to GPS the runs to have some facts.

I wish someone would start casting Graupners Carbon props. I like them so much but, would be so much better in Ber/copper/Ti...

They handle so much different from other props, specially for chine walk. Too bad they wear but, cheap!!

Well, the videos from last week did not get recorded. Lol.
We took some new ones today. I hope they are up in a few days so that I can post the links.

This time I installed the OSE small carbon fiber turn fins. Just got them barely touching the water as the stock pair was making my nose dive in too much at the turns. Tried to raise the trim tabs but, they are so hard they won't come up. They will adjust down but not up.

I am renaming my revolt, the screaming chicken ( I am an MR2 owner and that name is used to identify one of the hood bages.)

              Hello Shovel,

What are those two aluminum buttons popping up the hatch? Are they purely decorative or are you fastening the hatch somehow?

Those look like water outlet fittings (note the two loose cooling lines over the transom).

Yup that's what it is, on other news my brass bolt failed to break and I tore my transom up a little bit. I got home and fixed it on the inside. I'll take a picture of the outside crack so you guys can see it. Also my hatch took a beating too.

Sorry to read that. How fast was your boat going?

                        Shovel,

Did you modify the stock setting of the trim tabs? How do you have them setup?

I don't know actual speed, I was maybe 3 lengths behind a 4082 2200kv mystic (53ish mph) and about one length behind a 3674 2200kv mean machine (haven't gpsd yet). It was a just for fun run, I had them at the corners and they would catch up on the straights. About the 3rd lap I dove (that unbalanced the battery locations) and then on the final lap I hit a buoy. Kept on til the end. When I brought it in it was a mess.

                          @gyrotron

I've not done much to the tabs as I find it a lil nose heavy and it dives quite often. I've looked to raise them but they don't go any higher. I raised the strut and got the turning find out of the water. No chine walk.

Still using the 2030 and the carbon filled 45/63. I modified a 42 3blade (4mm threaded) and tried it as well. Not as fast but it seemed to have a higher lift and the boat ran much drier and very stable.

The lid, lost a few chunks and stressed cracked all over.

Repaired with a 3oz cloth and a two part west system epoxy resin mix.

                            The back view.

Top view, the gap used to be wider but, I clamped the transom as it was drying and I was able to close it a lil.

Man... not a pretty sight. But for what you are telling it sounded like a lot of fun. I hate round buoys I rather run around noddles. What are you planning on doing now with the boat?
