If your lipos will fit cross ways (from sponson to sponson) this will move COG slightly more forward for best handling in rough water. Boat will be less flighty and bouncy on sponsons. If your lipos will not fit that way you can allways add more weight to the front of hull, but try to stay @6 lbs or under total hull weight to make it legal for racing. The heavier the better for stabilty.
