    Collet / Cable shield mod

Considering that I have a plethora of wires (Eagle tree stuff) in my UL-1 I found a need for a collet shield “mod” to prevent the wires from becoming entangled in the spinning drive line. Unfortunately I didn’t come up with this idea before one of my Eagle Tree Temp sensor wires wrapped itself around the drive cable. Live and learn I guess.

Hopefully none of you will repeat my mistake. Here is a picture of my collet shield.

That is a dandy idea! I like it more for the fact that grease does not get thrown around the hull from the cable!

      Thanks!

The grease catcher was an added benefit.

That piece also makes a nice water deflector.

I wonder if the Realtree system is robbing your UL-1 of MPH. All them Dean's connections add some resistance I am sure. Did you ever add bullets to your Ul-1?

I did last week. I put 5.5mm bullets everywhere but on the motor.
