    Removing decals

First off, I just received my UL-1, cudos to Steven and Priority Post. The item was received within 5 working days with no damage.
The boat has pre-applied decals, what is the best method to remove these decals with no damage to the paint?

I used a plastic knife to get up the corners and just pulled them off. Keep a steep angle towards the direction you are pulling them.

That works but you have a greater chance of leaving adhesive residue behind. Not a big deal as alcohol will take care of that but it's an extra step.
