    How To Stop Sponson Walking

I have a UL 1 running a M445, have an air dam. At full throttle going down the straight guessing speeds of 50mph. It loves to do a sponson walk. How do I settle this thing down so I can keep the speed up?

Cut holes where the batteries go and slip the batteries halfway into the sponsons.

I have cut into.the sponsons and 3/4 of the batteries are in the sponsons at the front most part of the hull.

Try a different prop and see if it helps,
I am using a x642 on my Hydro and it run pretty good with that.
I have not pushed the setup yet, But speeds of 42 mph so far on 4s.

Thanks for the tips guys. But I did what Larry said and I won't go backwards in speed Lenny. I've tried many props as follows M445, 40-52, 42-55, and 38-55.

                  Hey,
What motor do you have in it and kv ?
                  Mine is a feigeo(sp) 10xl 1734kv on 4s,
The guy that had the Hydro made said that it should handle some bigger props.
I just have not tried anything bigger on it yet.

I think I may try propping up,
Your boat is 27"long by 14 1/4 wide and my boat is 24"long and 12" wide, 9"at sponsons.

                        Try a 42-55

It's not called "chinwalk", it's a hydro not a mono. Hydros have nonstops.

Give it up. That's what UL1's do when they hit that speed. No prop on earth will fix it.

                              +1

You would have to modify the bottom of the sponsons to get rid of it. you need to add a step similiat to the PT supersport hydros
