Anyone had this crack on a new unit? They will cover this right? I have 3 packs on this boat, nothing hit in the water, always on a rack. I pulled it out of the man made pond we run at with this crack on the bottom and a pretty full of water hull. She didn't flip, wasn't under water so I assume the water leaked into the boat around this area. Electronics all wet for sure, should I ask for a totally new unit or just a replacement hull?

ah got me a LEMONfigured I didn't hear back from AQ yet so I patched up the crack and decided to take her out again.. about 2minutes in it just stops and won't move. I fished it in w/ my tennis ball and the darn ESC is shot. I need a new UL-1! LOL this thing is junk! I mean 18 minutes on her; at least I know it's not the norm, my two friends have the same boat w/o any of these issues.
Customer service and RMA tomorrow. -
Sorry to hear that, man! Certainly hope you can get warranty service.
I have a bump on mine, a hull I bought here @ OSE Forum that was in great shape, however, after 5 or 6 runs later I saw the "floor" inside and outside starting to have bumps. I reallized the alignment of the motor shaft and the stuffing tube was not correct. At the time I was such a newbie that I didn't pay attention right away ( I mean the miss alignment). I have not seen a crack yet, it doesn't affect how the boat rides since these hulls ride on three points only, but the deformed hull floor is an indication that the hull has stress due to the force that is needed to bring the shaft to the stuffing tube. I had to always push down the flex cable a bit for it to go in the collet, but it was such a minor "push" that I was surprised by the bump. There are no issues with my drive line, no premature wear either, strange!Too many boats, not enough time...Comment

Got my ul-1 back and they did replace the hull.. BUT a run later; dead in the center of the pond!! LOL I figured it was an ESC issues, so I went to replace it and send back the stock for warranty work. When I pulled the motor wires to disconnect the esc the bullet fell off one of the motor wires, some nice QC there. Anyway a few minutes soldering and maybe I'll get back out to test today maybe. I may go back and resolder all the factory work, but for now I just fixed the obvious. So with any luck I'll finally have a working UL-1.Comment

I'd replace all the connectors with 5.5 or 6 mm bullets, the stock connectors are barely adequate.
Remember heat in a connector means resistance, my UL-1 setup in a different hydro has 5.5mm throughout now and the connectors stay cool.If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?Comment

The small stock connectors always desolder on aquacraft boats. You'd think they would have changed them by now.
