Check leopard motors on the OSE site. Leopard 3650, about 6mm shorter. About the same power rating.
For the price I wouldn't bet they are much better than the UL-1 motor (probably get flamed for that!) and not legal for spec racing. You still have to add a cooler on top of the price, A UL-1 cooler may not fit it. There is a 2$ difference in price.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

I am looking for an aftermarket motor as well to run 4s in my UL1. I have this all ready in another boat. Think it will be a upgrade or a downgrade using the GR 40x57 prop? Any other faster aftermarket motor prop combos on the Ul-1?

Ul1 speed is limited by hull design, not power. It's gonna spend ALOT of time upside down if you try to go over 50 or so. Stick with stock power and upgrade to grim 40/57

What if you don't have the stock motor? Also I would think it would be fun to have a faster motor and set your endpoint low so you have motor left over after WOT so you don't strain stuff also. Getting to the brink of control is my bag.

Most motors and ESCs run cooler at WOT than 1/2 throttle and bursting up and down.

                Leopard 3674 2200kv / seaking 120 or a 120 Swordy esc is a great setup IMO

Will the 3674 fit with the longer cooler as well?
