    UL-1 crash

    Hi everyone:
I am new to rc boating so please bear with me. I purchased a UL-1 and changed the receiver out to a Spekturm MR 200 so I could use it with DX3C.
After binding , everything was functioining properly. Got on the lake and the darn thing took off like a scalded dog! Unfortunately I could not control
it and it crashed into the bank. Yes, it has some damage, but I think it is all repairable. Any all help will be much appreciated. Thanks

    Welcome to OSE!
Help with the radio, or help with the hull damage?

Radio: Spectrum rx take a second or two to bind on power-up. Maybe when the ESC armed, the rx wasn't bound yet and caused throttle position to be skewed resulting in a sudden take-off. Just a guess with the limited details provided.

Damage: Pictures of the damage (or at least a description of the damage) will help in getting answers.

I'm guessing throttle calibration was the cause of this crash. It is good to make sure to do this step anytime anything Tx/RX wise is changed.
