Building a boat for the first time, couple questions

    Hey guys,

I'm putting together a UL1 from a spare hull I bought and all the associated hardware.

The hull came with nothing but the stuffing tube in it, so I am slowly going through attaching everything else. For the most part, it seems like the screw holes are just plain holes and when you put the screws in they sort of bite into the fiberglass and make their own threads. Is there anyhting else I need to do there? I was wondering if I shouldn't put some epoxy or gasket maker or something on the threads to help them seal...

Also, the hole for the stock drain plug is too big. It looks like it got drilled wrong or something because it's not even round.. The drain plug is nowhere close to sealed.. Any suggestions on that? I was thinking maybe ream it out so it's round again and use a bigger drain plug, but I can't find any.... at least, none meant for RC boats. :P

Hoping someone can help me out please and thanks. :)
