Whats this, and want to convert to electric

this was given to me and I want to change it over to electric, I don't know anything about this rigger except it says thunder tiger and it's a nitro .21 motor.
any help and power suggestions would be great.
hold on having problem getting pics.
ah crap can't seem to get the pictures over from my album to here, any way this thing is 32" long and a beam of about 12-13 inches and its got a huge prop on it, about 3" in dia has speed master strut and rudder about the same size as the ul-1 and impulse 31. I'm gonna gut this thing out, clean it up and repaint, and any power suggestion would help.
I know that this is not much info without pics and I will keep trying to get them here, bear with me.

Maybe this should be moved to another section, anything electric or boat building, as I have ? like moving the sponsons out using carbon rods and how to attatch them to the sponsons.
      also motor suggestions ect.
so move this post if need be, thanks.

That is an Octura WingDing rigger from the 1970s. It is a heavy, obsolete design which will likely not work very well with FE power. If you want to try it I'd try it as-is, just increase the angle of attack of the front sponsons a couple degrees - easy to do with shims. This was a .40-powered design, so a 6S setup should work the best.

Check out the hair in the photo below, taken in 1977.

            THANK YOU FLUID.
The guy that gave it to me had a .21 nitro thundercat engine in it that I took to my lhs to see if they wanted to buy it, they said they don;t buy used engines but this one was in great shape and I should be able to get 100.00 for it.
I was thinking about moving the sponson out to where the riggers of today have them but not sure how to secure them, any thoughts ?
