Aquacraft ul-1 brushless rtr

Im new to the sport and this forum I'm selling my rc buggies to get into the sport of rc boating i was just wondering if the ul-1 is a good starter boat and if it is possible to get it hopped up to run at high speeds and curious as to the quality of the hull of the boat not tryin to anger anyone just dont want to have a bad experiance with my first boat if anyone can give me some pointers on this boat please feel free ive watched some youtube videos and i really like what im seeing.

The UL-1 is a great starter boat. I suggest reading the UL-1 board to learn about reinforcing the turn fin area.

Ijust finished reading the ul-1 section quess i should have looked further down the page to see that oops thanks for the tip i see on the ose web site they sell castle brushless motors i have a left over castle1512 1800kv 1.5y motor is there a cooling sleeve that will fit i found one on here for the 1515 and 1518 just not sure if one of these will work or is it even worth keeping boat wise ?

If it's a gen 2 you won't need to do any mods to the turn fin, a good prop change and you will get good fun speeds.

Im order it off here so i hope it is the gen 2?It doesn't say in the description. What exactly is a fun speed MPH wise?

Out of the box you should hit 40-43 mph and with a m445 prop you should get close to 45 to close to 50mph maybe more with prop mods and different strut settings, this is useing all the stock electronics on 4s.
try to use the highest discharge batterys you can afford, 40c or greater or at least 30c.

i have several pairs of hobbypeoople 5000 2s 35c that i ran in my 1\10 scale and 1\8 buggies decent battery for the money.

Should be ok, I would change all your connections over to 5.5 bullets.

Let me know if im stepping on anyone's toes but I have one for sale in the board that is truly like new. Has some upgrades and I'll take $265 shipped with the Jrs stand that I spent $50 on. It has less than a five minutes run time.

I got mine over 50 the other day on all stock equip with a m445 prop, first run 51.6, 2nd 52.8mph
