Does that water jacket do a considerably better job cooling the motor than the stock water jacket?

They prob read it on aq website http://aquacraftmodels.com/boats/aqu...ior/index.html. a stock motor/esc ul1 hit 65mph, but it was a heavily tweeked prop and lots of adjustments.

Prathers are 1.5 like make mentioned.

Got the UL-1 back up and running after losind a strut, don't ask because I could not tell ya how, but anyway hit 51.1 mph with a lep 3674 2200kv on a 642 prop, temps were ok at esc 114, batterys 110, motor about 119. going to step the prop to a m445 for a short run and check temps, this was on a stock 60 amp esc, got a t120 and a t180 on the way for my impulse 31.

Have you done mods that helped with stability yet, cause any faster starts to get alittle scary, without airdam and with sponson mod ran the best, very stable

Oh yea all those mods have been done along time ago, runs flat and straight, might need to adjust the turn fin, when it comes by me at speedI could almost see under the boat and it looks like
the only thing in the water is the fin,
strut is at 1 1/8 with neg angle about 2 degrees.

I'm running turnigy 3665 2300kv on seaking 120, l40/57/3 prop with strut all the way up. Batteries into the sponsons, and homemade turnfin with less bend. I'm getting 52-54mph consistently and stable. It chine walks still sometimes, but hey, it's a ul1 hull.... Still love this boat tho...

I hear ya luv this boat to, sometimes a challange to drive depending on the conditions but it is fun.
got it ready to go w/ the m445 but it got dark so maybe sunday evening.
still waiting on the escs to get here, should be any day now, just hope the 60 amp can handle the m445, I would hate to burn it up beacause it is a good esc just for a backup to just keep messing around so I don't go thru withdralls ( spelling) I'm sure you know what I mean.

Yea I could'ent belive it, I was kind of worried that the esc would not handle it, that was only two passes though, going to give it another go when the water is glass again.
what prop would be between a x642 and a m445 or what prop would be good to modify to get between these two props sizes any suggestions?

I dunno, was always happy with the result from the m445, never tried any more after putting it on, seemed I was getting as good or better than most people with stock electronics.
