Bench test

Is there a way to bench test the ul-1 motor without a esc connected,
I fried the esc and maybe the motor to,
also what turnigy motor would be an upgrade for this boat with a better esc running 4-6s.

No.

One motor cannot provide good performance on both 4S and 6S.

Kind of an old thread, but any 1500kv through 1800kv motor can be run on both voltages. It all depends the right prop. On 4S it would make enough torque to run a large prop. On 1800kv you could run a medium prop.

I just got one of these boats so I don't know how ether motor would perform compared to the stock motor. I have more experience with monos and cats running motors and props like I mentioned above. Never had any problems.
