If it's a stock rudder it's not adjustable really in any way.
Pretty much a bolt on and forget piece.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Normaly they dont need any height adjustment but probably will need the front edge re adjusted after you take the rudder off to round the bottom front edge. The inside sharp edge (knive side of the blade) should be rounded instead of the squared off front. Also you should take a file and make the whole front edge as sharp as you can as well. If your starting off fresh (stock motor/esc/prop), adjust the rudder face to be parallel to the transom. Thats a good place to start. Theres tons of info in the UL-1 threads about improvements. Read them. Even with plain jane stock equipment you can get the hull very fast with just better batteries and a prop.

If it's the strut height your refering to start out stock at factory settings, record your performance then adjust to 1 1/16 ect and see where you get the best performance.
different strut heights change alot, and sometimes helps with the chine walk some experence.
jmo. good luck and have fun.
