UL-1 ESC and FlySky GT3B... anyone tried it... im having issues.

I have this FS GT3B and a spare RX so I sold the Tactic system from my UL-1 and have been trying to get the GT3B to work... but its acting super weird and ive tried everything I can think of.

When I power up the ESC it beeps as it usually does, I hold full throttle... it beeps, then I hold full reverse and it beeps... then I hold full throttle again and it beeps like its ready to go. Im not sure if this is normal or not but it does this every time.

The problem happens after the 3rd beep... it goes full throttle when the TX is at neutral and I have to actually PULL the throttle to slow it down and cut the power. Ive tried everything I can think of and nothing seems to work. Has anyone else every used an FS-GT3B with a UL-1 60amp ESC and got it to work?

That's what I thought but that's not what's happening. After the first beep it still wants me to push to reverse and pull again to full throttle. I've tried the UL1 manual to see if there are any setting I need to change but it's pretty vague on ESC setup. Basically, if i pull the throttle and get the first beep, then release, nothing happens. No throttle response, nothing.
I'll keep trying but I think I'm just going to try my airtronics system to see how easily it will work.

Is you throttle trim set all the way up?

Throttle trim was set to 0. I gave up after trying everything I could think of, installed my Airtronics RX with my MT4 TX and it worked perfect, no messing around. I guess the Aquacraft 60 amp ESC just doesnt like the GT3B RX or something.

Sure, the solution was posted in #5. Use another radio or ESC....

                Neither of which I have....

I did manage to get it to work but had to mess with the end points while arming then switching channel reverse and re-adjusting trim.

Does the Auquacraft ESC store the endpoints and neutral or do you have to calibrate it for every run? Every time I disconnect the battery from the boat it needs re-calibrated.......

Yes the aquacraft esc needs to learn the endpoints every time it is armed, I had a difficult time getting mine to work with my Spektrum system, I played with trim settings, end points and channel reversing and it finally armed ( I don't know why ) and has been fine ever since. I called Aquacraft initially but the guy on the "Tech" line had no clue....he just kept insisting it was a bad esc, and as stated above the aquacraft manual is pretty vague

Ok thanks for the reply. Guess it's time for a new ESC then.

SkyFly and Futaba radios need the throttle channel reversed. I have a SkyFly FS-GT3 2.4G 3CH and it works just fine on my UL1 and SuperVee. I then move the subtrim plus or minus untill it arms. Around 60 seems to do it on the SkyFly.
