I am considering replacing my Aquacraft 60 amp ESC because I've butchered the wires in a few areas trying to install new caps...don't ask...Im still wet behind the ears. any suggestion for a less expensive replacement under 80 or 90 that the aquacraft goes for?

Thanks egneg! I found a new take out Stock Aquacraft 60 amp I just bought off here for 50.00. I've got a quick question...actually I've been known to make a short story long by accident! Here it goes... I replaced the bullits to 5.5 mm last week on the esc and the battery packs. took the boat out w/ X445 B&S blade. The boat was kickin butt doing fine and I decided to let off the throttle to make some knob adjustments. Afterwards, squeezed trigger and boat didn't move. Got the boat back in and tried to re-arm it with no avail.after unplugging and trying again I couldn't get it to re-arm with beeps but after adusting the lower left knob(maybe trim knob) the motor would studder and turn the blade over barely. So, I'm a little confused because the RX reciever is coming on and I can turn the rudder but it just isn't arming. I have 2 new 35v 1000ef capacitors I installed and same thing...no beeps...turn knob all the way to the left and the motor will ingage(gurgle, gurgle)? I don't know what I'm doing wrong so that is why I bought the new ESC even though it may not be my problem? Any thought?Comment

sounds like you motor is only running on 2 of its 3 poles, this is normally a lose/poor connection in one of the 3 wires from the ESC to the motor, somone at the race I attended this weekend had the same issue but after testing his connectors wernt the issue and we started without him, it turned out to be water in his ESC killing one of the FET banks, he blew it out and rejoined the race half way through,Paul Upton-Taylor, Greased Weasel Racing.Comment
