I just don;t get it / Whats up

Ok try and follow me, ran the UL1 with a m545 prop s/b/ t averaged 47mph then one day hit 52.9 no strut change or anything from previeous runs strut set at 1 1/16, temps as follows mtr 114 bats 110 esc 98-110 not bad.

to day I changed the prop to a m445, speed 45.9-46.5, temps as follows.
    batts 145, esc 140, mtr 130.
these to me are to high.

water conditions were smooth w/ slite ripple
run times were around 5 min.
494 ft strights and about 10ft turns, I don't have a course laid out only what I read about them.
ran 6 laps. 5 min, with the smaller prop why are my temps so high?
is it that I did not change my strut height and should I have moved the strut to maybe 1"
    any info would help.
    batterys are zippy/flightmax 5000mah 40-50 burst
also, I know this should be in the battery/ charging thread but here is a ?.
should you let the batterys cool down before you recharge them or is ok to recharge when warm.

Too much prop. I hit consistent 47 with Grimm 40/57/3 and low temps, long runs. Gps isn't perfect. I've got it back saying 64 or 45. Majority rules mainly with gps. Do it every time. Try a smaller prop

What do you suggest, I have a 1745/3 but last time I tried it it's was hard to get to plain.
      also have a x642, m547.
lots say that the m445 is a really good prop, best results were the m545. my LHS does'ent
carry the grim props, in fact the only expert they have in boats is a gasser, and they can't comprehend that 5.5 bullets are better then deans and I try to explain to them that boats draw more amps then airplains and that deans melt the solder joints, so I always take any advice I can from the the folks @ this site, I know that it;s test, test and find out what works for each person and try different things and post the results so others can see and evaulate them themselves. dam I love this site.

Also do you think that the greese on the shaft just got to the point that I had perfect lube and less friction, what I;m trying to say is to much lube bad and can cause drag, is their a fine line in lube/greese?
