    soldering and charging question

Need expertise advice. I have an Electrfly Triton Jr charger with dean connectors to charge batteries. I just bought some new turnigy 5000 mah 30c with 5.5mm bullits. is there a 5.5mm bullit connector for the Triton JR to charge these batteries or do I need to solder 5.5 mm bullits onto the Charging wires? I'm new to this so forgive if the question is basic. second question...on the Aquacraft 60 amp ESC There is a black wire that runs between both wire that connect into the deans that plug into the batteries. if I solder 5.5 mm connectors what do I do with this black wire? I couldn't find any post with the Aquacraft ESC being converted to 5.5mm bullits?

    Any help please!

Yes just solder on the bullets to your charger wires, that black wire your talking about, is that the one that connecte the red and black wire on the esc, if so, the esc is wired for series and you need to make a jumper wire so you can plug them in in series or parallel

Sorry I'm new so when you say make a jumper wire so i can plug them in in series or parallel I don't follow? I'm not sure how to do this?

and yes it's the black wire that goes from the red to the black with the deans that plug into battery.

check out the "Tips & Info" section here on the forum..There is plenty of good info, explanations and diagrams there that can help! 5.5 bullets are the way to go!

If he is using bullets he doesn't need to make a jumper for a series circuit. That's one of the best advantages to using bullets.

Sorry your right, you don't need the jumper.
red to red / black to black and then red to black. for series, I soldered my bullets on alittle different along time ago when I was new to this, I was always worried about shorting them out so I have female on the batterys and male on my esc and charging wires so I had to make a connector to connect the red and black wires on the batterys.
            sorry for my stupity.
when I get new batterys I'll convert everything back the way it should be but for now it works for me since I run alone and don't have anyone to share or swap batterys with so my batterys only work on my boats.

So then what do I do with this wire that runs to both connectors?

Throw it away. Or keep it for later use on something else. You won't need it anymore if you are going with bullets.

HI guys, do you connect the batteries to the ESC 1 black then 2 red, then the jumper wire?

or is it 1 black with jumper attached, then 2red??

                        Thanks for the great advice!
