    Won't get up to speed!

I have recently the boat. I submarined it because I didn't get on the trottle. I dryed everything out and tried again. This time no submarining, but, the boat does not have any speed it just plows through the water. Every once in awhile it takes off for a couple of seconds then it just returns to plowing speed.

I have checked all wires. Everything is stock but the prop, which is a grim racer. Diesel said it is a good one for this boat. I am using 2s Hobby People 35c lipos.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks, Ed

That's a good prop but needs to be balanced and sharpened really well before use.

I have done that. The boat will really go for short bursts. But it won't maintain top speed. I can hear a difference in the pitch of the motor.

Done what? All I can say is the prop needs to be done right to make it work

Yup that's my favorite prop on that boat. Gotta admit that I am not to familar with the Hobby People lipo's.

                  * You are using 2x 2s lipos correct?
What is the mah rating on those?

                  - Prop properly sharpened and balanced
                  - Strut depth around 1 1/8"

Did you check all the wires UNDER the heat shrink, you could have a bad solder joint giving you intermitent contact.

Plain and simple, those props don't work unless it's prepped right. Period

Octura M445, strut at 15/16" neutral, and I hope the 2 x 2S are in series for a total of 4S.

I'm wondering if it is a battery problem more than the prop? My gut is that you are not getting power... Does it sound like the cutoff (stutter-bump) is kicking in to anyone else?
