My motor keeps shuting down why is this happening? Servo still works and the rx is not getting wet. Could it be possible that I fried the motor

We need more information to help you.

    - How long does the boat run before the motor shuts off?
    - What batteries are you using, exactly?
    - What prop are you using?
    - Stock ESC?
    - Did it ever run for a long time, or is this something new?

With this prop and then now it just shuts down after a min the prop I always have been using is 40x57 3blade and I wanted to try somthing different

Check all your battery connections and also your motor to esc connections, cut back the covering on the wires and check the solder joints, you might have a bad solder joint.

thats just what mine was doing, I thought I killed the motor and then was told to check ine connectios and sure as s@#t one of the connectore was bad and was just barley making contact, so I upgraded to 5mm bulletts on all my connectors and problem gone.
I hope it works for you as it did for me. check out other threads here and you'll probaly find mine and what others suggested to do, good luck, I'll keep an eye out to see your results.
            later, G

That m645 is a lot of prop on that stock motor. The added heat due to the added amp draw is why your bullet failed and de-soldered. If you plan on running that prop is would be highly recommended to reduce run time and change the motor/esc connectors over to 5.5mm bullets or higher. Also if using deans get rid of them. Theres a reason the connectors de-soldered. It's also a good idea to move up on "c" rating. 20c although it can/does work is really on the low side. I prefer nothing less then 30c on my boats.

Mike - You may have blown the caps on the ESC...especially with that load. Are the tops bulged out at all? Mine were and she would run for 20 seconds or so and shutdown. Replaced the caps and the ESC has been absolutely bullet proof since. Best ESC I've owned.

I will have to take a look. With the 5.5 mm bullets they fit all size wire? I been wanted to get rid of deans just haven't yet because I got to change everything. Chargers and batts. I am actually waiting for OSe to get the swordfish 200a esc and the leopard 3064 in stock and I am putting that setup in can't wait
