can someone help a brother out por favor?

stock motor, 120 amp seaking esc, L40x57 grim 3 blade prop, 3000mah 3s 40c lipos 22volts ( in series) = fried esc. can someone shed some light on what went wrong? the boat went 20 feet before completely shutting off dead. we checked the esc and yes it was burnt.

    Which 3 blade grim prop?
    2 - 30c lipos in series, but what cell count? (2 - 4S? 2 - 2S? 2 - 8S?)

Any binding in the drive line any where? 3000mah is a little low also, packs can't deliver a lot of amps.

i mean if i twist the prop with my fingers i can feel the poles of the motor. you understand what i mean? i think its normal. previously i ran it very smoothly with very low temps on my buddys 3500mah 20c 2s's.....as soon as we tried these new lipos, all hell broke loose. to be more specific, the fist time i launched her the collet came loose and i thought i lost my prop. so i tightened it up and on the 2nd launch she went about 30 feet then poof! silence ! how free is the prop saposed to spin when you rotate it with your fingers???

Got ya, that's normal. Just making sure theirs no binding. You should inspect the flexshaft just to make sure nothing looks abnormal. Binding can cause a HUGE spike in amps and fry some stuff.

6s on the stock motor is a no no.Too much rpm. Some people have had bad luck when running an esc at it max voltage rating. This is what you did.I assume you used no external BEC or reciever pack.Id say you burned up the esc and you d be lucky if the motor didnt fry also. You did just run the motor at 45,066 rpm.Research next time instead of just throwing more voltage at parts.
