    what is binding.

As the title asks, what in binding the rx or tx ?
read about folks talking about it but I'm not sure if I fully understand,
it's all about arming the esc on the UL-1 and useing the throttle trim, but what are you really doing?

Getting the transmitter to talk to the receiver, and only your receiver...not others. Thats what binding means.

Depends on the Manufacturer, read the manual and it will descirbe it.

Usually holding down a small button on the Rx while turning on the TX...lights flash and then stop...presto,,,binding has occurred.

But again, it depends on who makes the radio.

In am or fm radios anyone on those particular frequencies can butt into your signal. But binding your radio to your receiver with the 2.4 band connects the two so that doesn't happen. I'm sure its way more complicated, but thats the quick answer

It's the receiver that binds to the transmitter. What happens is that it memorizes the unique ID number of the transmitter (and the model memory if you have a more advanced transmitter) and after that responds only to the one transmitter. It can also memorize the initial positions of the servos at bind time.
