Yes it does have a lvc which aq refers to as "studder bump" sometimes its hard to catch the "studder" lol. Do you know what the temps where when you retreived the boat? Does it work now with a fresh set of batts? Is it the newer style esc with the HUGE capacitor or the older version?

im not sure what the temps were, and it has one HUGE CAP, and it does work with fresh battery's, i checked the voltage in the battery's and they where low, so, i was hopeing it was the Lvc, it was the first time i ran it with 2 new 5000 mah, 30c battery's and it was hauling butt, with the reccommended 3 blade grim prop, i just thought it was weird that it just stoped dead

I'd assume you hit the lvc then, but we all know what happens when we assume it makes a A$$ of U and ME... lol, im a idiot i know. Try timing your runs and for added insurence install a extra cap on the end of your speed controller a 25v 1500µF will work.

The information provided HERE should help. I only installed 1 cap and mounted it on top of the controller.

ok well i found out that the ESC was my problem, and i took it to the hobby shop where i bought the boat and they gave me a new ESC , guess what... it has a lot bigger Cap on it then my other one so the boat works like new again, would the boat run about 20 feet and stop with a bad cap or studder and break up under load? just wondering if it was me that caused the problem

did you sharpen and balance your prop? A dull, unbalanced prop will load up your motor, causing amps big enough to pop your cap.

the prop is the rec, 3 blade and its sharpened and balanced, hopefully it dont happen again, im kinda scared to run it hard again, im probably going to look into getting some more water cooling in it to be safe

I wouldn't worry about it. Running hard (wot) is actually easier on the esc than half, or mid throttle running. Let her rip man!
