    UL-1 with seaking 120amp esc

Im courious to see what people think about different esc's in the UL-1. first off i was doing some speed runs with the UL-1 totally stock accept a 40-52 prop. first couple runs was stock with 5000- 20c batterys and every time it was right on 42.7 mph to 42.9 mph i did 3 runs. then i put in a 120 seaking esc after three runs i got 46.2 to 47.3 mph same batterys. I think the seaking has a smoother response to it and it does have more run time on the same batterys :confused2 anyone have a idea why it has more speed and longer runtimes.

Unless you changed the timing the seaking's come from the factory with 15* of timing. 5* more than the stock esc.

Connectors will make a huge difference in startup and amp draw. I did a bunch of connector testing with outrunner motors and found that direct soldering beat everything but the nice castle creations large 6mm bullets. Much smoother startups and cooler running wires, esc, motor, etc.

ILower amp draw and less wasted heat will give you longer runtimes too... I have also noticed that some escs are a bit more effecient than others.

ok.....i had a bad experience with the seaking 120... it fried on me while running 2s 3500mah 40c lipos. BUT im not blaming the esc i have yet to find more 411 on my system components before i point fingers. it ran awesome on my 3500mah 2s 20c
