how the hell do i get the ul-1 motor cooling jacket back on?

its impossible without the o rings coming off. anyone have a clever idea?

Put the cooling jacket on the motor (do not install the end caps with the O rings yet. Now, place one O ring on over the motor and butt it up against the jacket......now take one of the end caps and slowy push and screw it on to the jacket, the O ring will work its way into the groove of the end cap.....repeat with other side. I just did the same thing last night and it worked.

I bought the OSE jacket for mine.Works great.But the stocker works too.

One thing to keep in mind..

First versions of the jacket had a few tolerance issues. It could be installed but was tricky.

The newer versions are much easer and dead reliable..

It might be you have an early version?

yes grim i got an earlier version from a friend for cheap money. motor is in excellent shape but the jacket's threads were stripped as it turns out.

i was looking at the specs on the two. they both 36mm cans it seems. so yes it should fit. how much?
