    Turnigy nanotech for UL-1?

Does anybody have the 5000mah 25-50 nano's for their UL-1 yet? They say they are 173mm long I'm hoping they will fit?

I ordered the Nanotech's, Oh well might have to make them fit

I have the 40C's already however, they weight 308 grams each which will put me over the maximum battery weight of 600grams for the class i wish to race in...Sport Hydro. Not sure why this is the case, but it's the rules.

I guess if worse come to worse I will sell them or use them in a future project.

Hey Simo71, I have a couple questions for you.

What is the measurement in mm of these batteries long wise?

Did you post in the review on hobbyking.com that battery that it will fit in the ul-1?

I am asking because I was reading through the reviews and I came across the 6Ah Nano-tech where someone stated that the measurement was done wrong and it is actually 155mm instead of 177mm. Sooooo, I thought perhaps the 5Ah was also measure wrong. they still have it listed as 173mm but I bet that's wrong too. I might get the 6Ah nano-techs if they do fit.

              Thanks

The pack measures 155mm long 48mm width, 17mm height, if you add the cable the length comes to 162mm.

Yes it was me who wrote that review, those where my findings & am yet to do a second charge on them.

Well, I gave your review a thumbs up, so hopefully you get some credit reward for it!

I might get the 6 sometime then but we'll see.

                  Thanks for the reply

UPDATE: I ordered the Turnigy Nano-tech 6000mAh 25-50C packs and I can verify that these will also fit in the UL-1!

Has anyone tried fitting the Turnigy NANO 3S 45-90C 4000ma in the UL-1?

why would you be putting a 3s pack in a ul-1?

I run the 6S because of the need for speed. I am not running the stock UL-1. Unfortunately, I was a first generation UL owner that experienced several failed ESC's that many of us had. I went to the Proboat system and consistently run on 6S and speeds of 50 to 55 MPH. My boat runs great and I don't get any magic smoke from the ESC.

I'm not familiar with a NANO turnigy, can you post a link?

That' is unless you mean nano-TECH turnigy, I was thinking you ment high capacity (4000mAh) but made smaller than the other one's
