    UL1 turn fin area

I have the newer version of the UL1, I used epoxy on the inside of the turn fin area to add strengh. I am still getting stress cracks along the inside area of the sponse. I made sure the epoxy flowed to that area. Any ideas

You can do the pour foam mod to the inside of the front hull, it really stiffens it up.
I have the old version and no cracks yet.

ul1 turn fin area structure cracks

What is the type of poured foam I should use and how should you inject it? Should you tip the boat so the foam reaches the correct area? I already used injectable epoxy in this area and it still developes cracks.

From the sticky UL-1 mods at the start of this forum

Mike Martin: Flotation/Rigidity - Remove motor; drill 3/4" hole each side of tub wall toward front; pour 4-6oz TOTAL urethane foam mix 1 side @ a time; shake toward front; reinstall motor. (Don't use spray foam). <uscomposites.com> (561) 588-1001 $30.00
I bought mine at a plastic supplier but I've seen it at the LHS.
