Has anyone tried a hydra 120 on the Ul-1 motor yet and if so what were the results? Building a 23" Hydro from scratch and thinking of this set up.

The 120 Hydra should work just fine. A BL motor is a BL motor.....nothing special about the UL-1 motor. The ESC just cares about amp draw.

I ran a Hydra 120 in my ul1 with stock motor on 4s with a CC BEC.The esc and capps ALWAYS got way too hot.I ran it for about 2 minutes.Dont know why the esc got so hot,but I took it out put the stock esc in with no probs.I also upgraded the cooling lines to larger size too.Comment
