Sharpen prop.....

Hiya!

Im gonna order my UL-1 tomorrow here in Norway!

(Hopefully i get a "updated" boat and wont have as much hull/crack problems.

I want the AQUB9760 prop and is wondering if anyone
have some good sharpening tips or maybe links to sites that explains
"how to sharpen the prop....."

what tools do i need ?

And is Grimracers balancing tool good to have or can ya just use something diffrent?

Hey Artic Guy,

Untill your a little more comfortable with the UL-1 in general I would stick with this prop.

It offers good all round speed, handling, run time, and alot less stress on the power system than the prop that you have listed. There is alot of info on this site that will back up my statments. If you want the boat to last, I would recommend the prop I have listed.

Also if you follow the link below, Steven has compiled much info about props and prop sharpening. If that's not enough, you can do a search on this site using the keyword "balance" among others that will get you additional info.

Last of all the grim balancer will work fine. However, there are many others out there that will work just as good. Kintec Racing has a nice one too....

I have been searching and reading about that 40x52 prop...
And i have read it like you CAN but you dont have to balance and sharpen it am i right ?

So i can use the stock prop at first... then try the metal and if i like it i can sharpen it later on ?

Does anybody ever use a dremel to balance/sharpen with some type of oil or water to keep dust down? Or let the dust fly and rely on a respirator?

These Dremel abrassive wheels work verygood, but watch out for dust.
