    Newbie help

The tube that is by my finger has backed itself out of the prop cable shaft. How do you prevent it from happening?

    Thanks.

If the Teflon liner(which you are pointing towards) is moving or spinning you can cut a small piece of water line tubing and put it over the brass tube and the Teflon liner and that will hold it in place and keep it from spinning. It also helps keep water from coming up the tube. Mine used to slide towards the motor under throttle and after putting the tubing on it fixed the problem.

But note that having that tube slide around really isn't a problem. It acts as a spacer to fill the gap between the flex and the stuffing tube.

Teflon liners do wear out and need to be replaced. I've run my MC and do run both my twin-screw cat and my Impulse without the teflon liner. Either way, you must keep the flex-shaft, stuffing box well greased.
