Hey Mamba2200 I think I just asked you on another thread, but thanks for the reply. I would like to get to 60 MPH or as close as possible.

you could do that with a seaking or turnigy 180a esc leopard 4074 2200kv motor on 5s with a m445 octura prop

Will that Leopard 4074 fit under the cap of the motley crew? If so I will be getting that set you suggested.

That hull won't survive many crashes at 60mph without some serious reinforcement. First blow over the hatch will be stuffed in. Not a boat built to go much over 50 for any length of time.
The motor mount will bend in the first crash with a long can motor (mine bent with the stock motor). Mine has been gutted and most of the stock stuff is in the spare parts bin, About the only thing left is the hull and strut.
I'm really not to impressed with the quality of the hulls from AQs last couple of releases, very, very thin layup.
The were built to live in the 40-50 mph range, and that's pushing it. You have to remember these were built to a price point and designed to live with the stock power, under 400$ ready to hit the water, they have to cut corners.
Compared to my H&M cat my Motley is almost a toy grade hull. That one has been over many times at 60 without a problem. Just the hull is 250$.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

it will fit if you flip the stock motor mount

I have a MC and I'm running the same tacon Mamba recommended. I think I have an x447 on it and sometimes I run it on 5s. The boat is stupid fast and it needed reinforcement because it was cracking. I put two part foam in the hull and reinforced the lid with fiberglass. I personally think if you want a real fast boat that size you should look in to something like a mean machine. Here's a vid of it running on 5s.

OSE I got my motor 4074 and Leopard cooling jacket today. Do I need to lube anything to get it on the motor without hurting the o rings?
