Question is decal under a clear coat going to be a problem if you scratch or damage the decal....
I remember reading advising not to clear coat decals.
Please chip in all the painter gurus...
Thanks
It's not a decal, I've sanded through the graphics on a couple of repairs, no sticky glue and no paper like sanding kyfe and no soft plastic. I went through the 00 on the front left side doing a sponson repair, sanded like paint. If they are decals of some kind I'm not sure of the material as they sand away just like the silver paint.
Eventually I'll get around to painting it. Maybe, not really that great a hull so not sure if I want to waste the time on it. LOL now it's bondo, epoxy, primer and original!
LOL one boat I really wish I didn't buy!
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?
The reason I mentioned the clear coat on the MC, was incase you were thinking of peeling them off. Unfortunately you cannot just remove them if you were thinking of replacing them with another design.
I have been thinking of repainting my MC, as it has had plenty of hull repairs also.
