Best battery for stock MC with future upgrades

Whats the best battery to run for top speed and run time. Just bought the Boat today and need to order batteries.

I would like to upgrade prop for now but keep everything else stock for now.

Should I get soft packs or hard?

Which brand?

Get 5,000 mah packs or bigger with 30C or more for sure..... If you are going big as far as motor and esc later, look for 40C-50C... Otherwise, all else is personal preference....

I like the hard packs, but that's me. Shop around for sites. See battery/charger forum as well...

2S packs and yes, 2 of them. OR you can go 2 4s packs in parallel. But to keep things simple, I would go 2 2S packs. (and if funds allow, two complete sets of those. So 4 2S packs total)...
