Newbie.. Fuel tubing in front of prop nut?

Just got my MC and was about to balance the GR prop when I noticed the shaft had a piece of blue tubing in front of the prop nut. Do I remove it or do I tighten the nut with the tubing in place? I had a 51 Rio and don't remember it having a piece of tubing..

the tubing is there to be used as a spacer so you don't need to keep cranking on the nut. As you change and test other props some of the prop hubs are longer than others. So, on some props you may not need it.

So, I don't need to tightened the nut to the point where the tubing is flattened out?

in my experience, if you crank a nut onto a plastic prop it causes the props to break. if you put the tubing there, you wont crank it on tooo tight. jmo
