My MC flips over....Driver or Boat?

So i was playing with my MC just now and i flipped it over in the first 2 mins of driving it...

i was wondering if it is me turning too sharp while going too fast?

or

Is it something i can adjust on the boat? maybe like the steering trim knob on the controller?

i am going to probably scuff the bottom of the boat tonight also...

I am using TWO 4s Batteries 5000mah so i was also thinking is it the batteries that it is too much weight? i only have two 4s batteries i have no 2s batteries, but my friend has some that i might try out too see the difference.

also i have a GR 42x55 prop.

any suggestions will be greatly appreciated....

Guess no one can help...that sux, but oh well went and did some changes and have made an improvement.

I scuffed the bottom, lowered the strut a bit (although its angled bout like 1-2 degrees down, can't seem to level it suggestions??) and turned down the St rate.



In this picture I think my rudder is Brant backwards a little

Now its just taking along time coming out of the hole or dead stop to plane. I'm thinking it's an COG issue I got to work on.
What are possible cause and solution. Thanks.

It's hard to tell in the pictures, but it looks like you strut is really high. you might want lower it (deeper in the water). You should be able to flaten your strut angle too once it's deeper.

The strut is level with the spontoons. Pic is tricky... When I try to level it out I have to pull out some of the brass tube in it....is that ok?

Fliping on turns or straight? Heavier batts should help not hurt.

Well i adjusted the batteries a tad bit, lowered the strut about 1/8" or so and scuffed some more the bottom and finished the scuff with 600 grit....here is a video of me running it. i think it helped alot. i like how she is handling. and i dont know if its because i adjusted the COG or lowered the strut a little but she launches alot better from a dead stop and corners pretttty good... take a look...

i really appreciate that link, WOW it has some awesome tips. i think i am going to take a look at the bottom and make sure they are flat, otherwise i am going to do the same thing as you. also my rudder is not 90º its sticking away from the boat, so i am going to make it 90º.

now i was reading that you were trying to flip it over and the worse that happened was that it skid out.... so my question is what do you think you did that allowed for such great handling?

that is what i am truly achieving. Once i have the handling down, i will move on to getting greater speeds once i am comfortable with the handling...

I would attribute most of that to the strut depth and strut angle. Don't get me wrong, my boat will still flip over in the right conditions. It's not flip-proof. I was just trying to minimize it to the best of my ability. I would also say that I still have work to do! I would like to make mine better.

I would caution you that as you increase speeds you will need to make adjustments to the boat accordingly (strut depth, strut angle, and CG). I would also suggest keeping the boat in the mid 40's as far as speed is concerned. The boat was designed with those types of speeds in mind. Once you get into the high 40's+, you’re really starting to sacrifice handling and boat reliability. The faster you go the harder it is to keep it in the water and keep it right side up.
