Just curious. My Impulse 31, as well as my AC MC both have a VERY LOW, LV cut on the ESC. I believe both stutter at 3v and then cut at 2.7. If I can, I normally set my cut off's to 3.2-3.3 on other ESC's I have. Just wondering why PB and AC chose to make the cut off's so low? Does anyone ever really hit 3v before they bring a boat in? That's just asking to puff a lipo!
Why is the cut-off so LOW?

I'm very careful about timing my runs with the stock esc. The Swordfish 120 esc also have a 3v cutoff level, 12v for 4s. Over the winter I'm planning on switching to t-120s, more options for timing and voltage cutoff. If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps? -
Probably for the simple fact that everyone that walks into a hobby shop wants the cheapest packs. Cheap lipos will drop to 3.2 or 3.3 pretty quickly.Steven Vaccaro

Do I need the usb programmer for that? The card with the dip switches doesn't seem to offer that, just auto or cell count.
Thanks, thats great to know!If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?Comment

Yes. There is a disk that comes with the esc. The instructions are on it with the complete details.Steven Vaccaro
