So I wanted to make up a couple extra stub shaft/flex cables while waiting for the next round of MCs to hit the market (that's when I'm planning on buying one).
Ok, I looked into it, I guess (for the time being) everyone is out of flex shafts (assembled or not).
Would a 0.078" piano wire drive work as an alternative? I know this would require a bit of work in the hull, but in the long run would it pay off? I can get piano wire and stub shafts for it pretty easily (and cheaply) after all.
Bushings won't be an issue for me (I'll just make up a few spares on the lathe).Last edited by Stinger9D9; 06-04-2011, 08:27 AM.Comment
