6S on Turnigy / Seaking 180A ESC?

Has anyone tried 5s or 6s on Turnigy / Seaking 180A ESC. It claims to support up to 6s but I tried 3 times (2 times on 6s and 1 time on 5s) and 3 of mine ESC got burnt. I used the internal BEC though. I want to try again without using the internal BEC but I am a bit too scared. Can anyone please give me your input.

I would never use BEC with that much power...just more stress and heat trying to regulate it down.

I use the 180 on 6s with an rx pack in a 40-inch mono w/leopard 5692(1340kv) No issues so far after about half a dozen runs
