I'd be interested to hear what Chris thinks though. He's done a ton of props.

Prop shop hobbies in Warren sold me a 1.7 x 1.6 it was cheap so don?t mind it as a starting point but they just went off what that motor goes in and runs prop wise

You need right handed for 10th scale. Boats turn left.

Clockwise from back of boat? Just want to be sure we are talking the same direction

I would start at a 1716 or 1814/3 right hands

Yes. Boat turns left. Prop turns right. You need a right handed shaft for that too. If you're running a wire it doesn't matter. Some even get reversed couplers too but for this kind of power it's not required. My opinion at least.

Be sure to ask for prop suggestions on the MMEU page too. Those guys own a ton of 10th scales. They'll also likely let you test with props they already own. Helps find the sweet spot so you wont just trial and error your wallet into a fiery pile of embers. Experimenting can get pricey really quickly. Especially if you push to the liquid hot magma stage. HA Leave that to idiots like myself.

I'll second Chris on the ABC1814-15-60(3)R. I've done a bunch of them for the 1/10 guys out here. Pretty much the go to starting prop.
