    Prop Help 4082 1900Kv

    Hi All :)

I'm fairly new to RC boats, but have gotten really into it... currently running a 4082 1900kv on 6s monohull.

I want to know what is the biggest high rake and abc prop I can run from OSE - chasing speed! Have used a Aliexpress high rake prop 48mm 1.9 pitch (CNC) hitting speeds of 79mph.

Current thinking is 5016 high rake and 1916-17.45 - are those too big? Considering it ran a 48mm 1.9 for speed runs with 68F motor and ESC 90F temps not an issue at this stage.

    Keen to hear your thoughts!

Is that the Vietnamese anodised 1.9 props? If so while I haven't measured on myself, I have heard that they are a long way from 1.9, you may find that the "same prop" from ABC gives you more top speed.

Having said that 79mph is already more than respectable for a mono, and personally I'd be more inclined to prop down than up from there to make it usable on more days per year with the water I typically have and to extend runtimes.

      Hi Paul,

Yes I'd say you're bang on the money there, it's from Aliexpress, so probably not even 1.9 pitch.

Hmm good point maybe I try that and see with similar prop. There's definitely more in it so want to get a couple more speed props to try. . I have a x445 and x447 for mucking around with.

Will see what others say as well - thanks for the feedback 😀.
