    New Bright Fountain - prop needed

    I am new to the blog and joined OSE as I was told that there is plenty of opinions to be had here. I have had this boat sitting in my basement for years. We just moved into a house with a pool and my 3 year old Grandson will have a blast with this boat, if I can breathe some life in it. I was surprised to see the battery pack took a charge, at least preliminary level. The prop turned clockwise & counter clockwise & the rudder turned left & right (all systems go). I put the boat in the water and the propeller promptly disintegrated when power was applied. I am not having any luck finding a replacement propeller. The local hobby shop only had 2 options and neither worked. They suggested contacting the OEM (New Bright). New Bright was of no help, said my boat was "retail grade toy", sorry!.

    Here is what I know about the boat

    OEM = New Bright
    Model + Fountain / Rio Roses F2-76<br>
    Voltage = 9.6vdc
    Prop shaft diameter measures 3/32"
    Prop shaft is threaded and the prop was held in place with a nut

    I am looking for suggestions on where to find a replacement propeller.

    Thanks - Roger

    the easiest thing to do would be to atapt an available prop to fit.
    Somthing like using nested brass sleeves over the prop shaft to fit the 1/8 normal shaft.

    a prop like this:

    you will need a drive dog, like this.

      Work with me here (simple mind). Is what your suggesting a brass sleeve to fit over my 3/32" threaded shaft? Is that sleeve threaded? Is the outside of the new brass sleeve measure 1/8" (size needed for the common size propeller)? Amazon seemed to want to take me to a kit with sleeves from 1/16" > 13/32" 12 pieces total. I am thinking I just need the 3/32 sleeve right?

      I am not familiar with the term drive dog. Is the drive dog the interface/tie between the brass sleeve and the new propeller?

      Sorry for all the questions?

      BTW- thanks for responding so quickly
